We are raising our little voyagers to be brave, not afraid to step outside of their comfort zones and try new things. As they grow we hope they will see the beauty of this world and recognize that even if something or someone looks different, they can teach us a lot about who we are and who we can become.
A Family of Travel Journalist
We are Raising Voyagers and our mission is to show our girls the world. This world is a beautiful creation that deserves to be explored. When we step outside of our comfort zone we are able to grow in a completely different way. We are able to put our bravery to the test. One moment travel can be glamorous, the next can be extremely difficult. There is no doubt that travel will make you better. So our mission is to show our girls the world, but our bigger mission is to raise them into amazing, brave, compassionate adults who love all people and have a unique understanding of how big and beautiful this world is.
Heather
Hey, I am Heather. I grew up in a small town in Ohio and always dreamed of traveling. I thought my dreams would be just that, dreams. When I met Bradey we talked for hours about this shared dream to travel. I quickly realized that if Bradey has a dream he will do what it takes to achieve it, which is what I fell in love with! We have made sacrifices to prioritize travel in our lives and wouldn’t trade it for anything. Traveling with kids is not easy but no matter what you are doing parenting is hard. We see travel as an incredible opportunity to be better parents and better people. I hope to inspire other people to see the world!
Bradey
Hi, I’m Bradey. I actually grew up traveling, when at 6 years old I moved to a new country. From that point on, I fell in love with traveling. But eventually I moved back to small town Ohio and that passion for travel was lost as I settled into “normal” life. I remember the first date I went on with Heather. Inevitably we ended up talking travel and ended up talking for hours about our dreams to see the world. After we married we dabbled a bit into travel and continued as we had Alexa. Soon we realized that travel was the most important thing to our family, and that’s how Raising Voyagers was born. We have decided that it is our mission to raise our kids to see the beauty in how unique this world is, to face their fears, and realize that anything is possible. We have decided to vulnerably document and share our experiences here.
Alexa
Hello, I’m Alexa and I am five years old. I just started Kindergarten and I love to learn! I am always ready to try new things. Sometimes things are scary, but I’m brave and I always have fun! When I am not on a big adventure I am having fun creating artwork, playing with my toys, and learning about outer space. When I grow up I want to be an astronaut and explore outer space! My favorite thing I’ve done while traveling is to learn how to surf and climb up a volcano!
Chloe
Hi, my name is Chloe and I am three and a half years old! My favorite things to do are play with my sister, pick flowers, do crafts, and dress up like a princess. I love animals and bugs of all kinds! When I grow up I want to be a butterfly, mommy says that might not work so I also want to be a doctor just incase. My favorite thing I have done while traveling has been eating bugs and playing with the Elephants!
